ミッシェルの英語教室は日本人の生徒さんたちにもっと英語に親しんでもらいたいという願いからスタートしました。
生徒さんが自信を持って英語でお話ができるように、少しだけ背中を押していきます。会話のトピックスは生徒さんに合わせて選び、お一人お一人の「英語を学びたい理由」に合わせたレッスンを組み立てていきます。お仕事のため、学校のため、留学のためなど様々な理由があると思います。映画を見るため、人々や文化を理解するためでも大丈夫です。教科書も推薦本の中からお選び頂けます。
最も大切にしていることは、快適に楽しく英語を勉強することです。

こんにちは！はじめまして、ミッシェルと申します。
少し自己紹介をさせてください。私は札幌に8年住んでいて夫と2人の娘がいます。
娘は9才と2才でそれぞれ平岸の小学校と保育園に通っています。
私が自宅で英会話教室を始めたのは7年前で、大通の学校でも講師として働いています。
英会話教師になったのは生徒さんの世界観を少しでも広げられたらと思ったからです。単なる英会話教室の先生というだけではなく、信頼できる友達感覚でお話が出来ればと思っています。
英語コミュニケーショントレーナーとして出身地であるフィリピンのアメリカ企業で務めていたことや、第2外国語としての英語教師として韓国学校で働いていたこともあります。
英会話教師という仕事に直接役立つわけではありませんが、大学では政治学を学んでいたので、政治や法律に興味のある生徒さんと教える際には役に立っています。

A.私は映画やテレビドラマを見ることが好きです。
また新しいレシピに挑戦をして家族に振る舞うことも好きです。あまり上手くはないですけどね
What do you do when you’re not working? I watch. I love movies and tv dramas. I also like trying some new recipes for my family to eat. But it doesn’t really go well most of the time.
A.私は世界旅行に行きたいです。
What would you do if you won the lottery? I would travel all over the world.
A.夏に豊平川沿いでBBQをすること！
What is your favorite way to relax? BBQ at Toyohira river in the summer! Or soak in the tub with a glass of beer.

What are your favorite books to read? Mystery books and National Geographic magazines.

What is one thing you’re glad you tried but would never do again? Snowboarding. Terrible. I don’t have the legs for it.

What is something you think everyone should do at least once in their lives? Travel abroad of course. It will definitely make you open minded.

What is something that people are obsessed with but you just don’t get the point of? Anti aging products. We all get old anyway! Just get plastic surgery if you wanna see a real difference. Hahaha

A.仕事でスターバックスカードが当たったこと。3,000円分のコーヒー代をゲット。やったー！
What is the luckiest thing that has happened to you? I won a Starbucks card at work. Got 3000 yen worth of coffee. Lucky!
A.皆が携帯ばっかり見てしまうこと。私もだけどね。あはは。
What is your biggest pet peeve with modern technology? People are always on their phones. But I’m one of them. Hahaha.

A.握手 非衛生的だと思う。 お辞儀の方が敬意をあらわせて好き。
What social customs do you wish would just disappear? Handshake. It’s unhygienic . I love bowing. I think it shows more respect.
A.ご近所同士の中がとてつもなく良く、家にたまること。
ご近所さんに時々子供を預けてノンストップおしゃべりをしたり、
砂糖や道具を貸し借りする仲の良さなの。
What quirky things do people do where you are from? We hangout and are really good friends with our neighbors. We sometimes leave our kids with them or we just go and chat non stop or borrow something, like sugar or some tools.

Who or where would you haunt if you were a ghost? My husband. Don’t ask. Haha
